Mumbai. In the case of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Mumbai Police on Saturday questioned the casting director of Yash Raj Films at Bandra police station. The officer gave this information He said that the police is investigating whether there was any professional enmity, due to which actor Sushant Singh Rajput became depressed. It is noteworthy that on 14 June Sushant’s body was found hanging from the noose in his apartment in Bandra. After the police sent summons, casting director Shanu Sharma reached the police station on Saturday afternoon.
Abhishek Trimukhe, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-9), said, “Shanu Sharma is associated with Yash Raj Films as casting director and he was questioned at Bandra Police Station.” Another officer told that representatives of some more film production houses Can also be called for questioning in the next few days.
Sources said that Sharma is the popular casting director of Bollywood and it was he who recognized the talent of actors like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Cooper and Wani Kapoor and got a chance in Yash Raj Films. Sharma had worked with Sushant Singh Rajput in Yash Raj Films’ Shuddh Desi Romance and Detective Vyomkesh Bakshi. After Rajput’s death, Yash Raj Films provided a copy of the agreement between him and the actor to the police.
The official said that so far statements of 27 people have been recorded. The Deputy Commissioner said that the police is investigating the rules of the agreement. He said, “It is being investigated how this agreement was implemented”.
